      • SafeHaven Thanksgiving Restaurant

Since SafeHaven began in 1996, it has offered a Thanksgiving meal for its adults recovering from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and many other forms of mental illness.  For the fourth year in a row (in 2016) SafeHaven will once again feature the ‘SafeHaven Thanksgiving Restaurant.  This event offers a free, delicious Thanksgiving meal where mental health consumers will be greeted, seated, waited on, and served in our SafeHaven simulated restaurant.

SafeHaven decorates the whole building giving a restaurant theme and experience for our members. Instead of doing soup kitchen setting, we step it up so, our members who have never had the chance to ever eat at a restaurant it gives them that atmosphere or experience: with greeters, hostesses, waiters/waitresses, busers, and etc., we also use table linens, center pieces, and etc. as well.

Dozen plus volunteers from the community help make this possible for our members. With out the community and volunteers from the community SafeHavens Thanksgiving Restaurant would not be possible.
